RASSVET (PACCBET) - Russian Skate Culture
In 2016, Russian photographer and designer Goša Rubčinsky and his professional skater friend Tolia Titaev founded the streetwear brand Rassvet, better known as PACCBET.
The idea is to represent the Russian skate scene and capture its aesthetic for a clothing line featuring unique graphics, Cyrillic lettering and slogans, and skate boards. The result is eye-catching streetwear garments that blend a retro-futuristic aesthetic line with the skate culture of the late 1990s. Goša's project does not focus exclusively on classic, revolutionary streetwear, but emphasizes the young rebellious generation of Russians through the values of the skate community and post-punk ideals. Super colorful and stylized T-shirts, cropped sweatshirts, plaid shirts, paisley patterns, and a mix of out-of-the-box accessories.
A community of perfectly cohesive Muscovites who bring disruptive energy to the world of fashion, art, skateboarding, and music in their city. This new generation of creatives works closely together to cultivate new projects, with the goal of offering the world a modern vision of Russia. The word Rassvet, meaning 'sunrise,' shows the community's common desire to highlight a new dawn in Russian youth culture. As implied in the name, the brand is dedicated to representing and exploring the style and language of a new generation through Rubčinsky's distinctive reworking of skatewear classics.
